LOCALCHARITY WORK
We like to give back a little to the local community so have chosen some charities close to our hearts to work with and help raise funds for.
MUSIC GIGS WITH FRIENDS
As musicians, the best way we can think of to raise money for charity is through music! We have organised and ran many charity music events since we first started, raising money for Epilepsy Scotland, CHAS (Rachel House), Strathcarron Hospice, Barnardos, Gordon Cottage, Gift of Christmas Appeal, and a local family whose son was diagnosed with Leukemia for a second time. We have played in local pubs, The Coaledge Tavern, Kelty Social Club, Keavil House (Dunfermline), The Cedar Inn (Aberdour), The City Hotel (Dunfermline) and Kirkcaldy Golf Club through our charity work so far. We have started an annual 'Panto in the Pub' where we perform an adult only version of our Scottish Pantos! To date we have raised over £3000 for charity through our Panto in the Pub shows.
OTHER CHARITY WORK
We became involved with Chernobyl Children's Lifeline (Fife) in the summer of 2017. We worked with the children who were over visiting from Belarus for a month on rhythm workshops, as well as recording one of their traditional folk songs. We have pledged to continue our work with CCLL, raising both money and awareness of the amazing work they do for these children. We have donated a number of selection boxes to a children's charity, and many boxes of food to the local foodbank. We have donated songwriting days for charity auctions and raffles, and we currently sponsor a local children's football team.
